A Prophetic Parking Ticket

Situation: A distributor received a parking citation in his home town. After making contact at a tradeshow, he asked if TDG could help him provide the citation rolls to his city.

TDG Solution: TDG worked with him and discovered that a sergeant on the police force was in charge of the parking products. Further investigation uncovered that they were using standard direct thermal paper in their printers along with Tyvek® envelopes for each issuance. TDG presented an alternative-a Poly Thermal, Synthetic Direct Thermal paper that was resistant to water and tearing. Although the TDG paper had a higher cost than the regular paper they were using, it was clear they could completely eliminate the Tyvek envelopes and the need to order and inventory two different items.

Outcome: TDG provided a sample roll to show that the material worked flawlessly in the printer and walked away with a purchase order for the synthetic stock.
